Ebony Campbell Joins Hawkeye RedTails Soccer Coaching Staff

WATERLOO–Ebony Campbell has joined the Hawkeye RedTails coaching staff as assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer programs. Her specialty is goalkeeper training.

A native of Brandon, Florida, Campbell was recruited to play soccer at Iowa Central Community College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in Elementary Education in 2014. She continued playing soccer at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, where she racked up 99 saves her junior year and averaged 2.32 goals allowed over 14 games. Campbell accumulated 122 saves with an average of 2.64 goals allowed over 16 games her senior season, before graduating in fall 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies–Education.

Prior to joining the RedTails coaching staff, Campbell taught at the R'Club Early Learning Academy in Temple Terrace, Florida, and served as assistant soccer coach for Spoto High School in Riverview, Florida.

RedTails Soccer begins the 2017-2018 season on Tuesday, August 15, with the men's home opener against Grand View University.
