WATERLOO - The Hawkeye Community College Volleyball team is excited to announce the signing of Union High School standout Haylee Keune to the RedTail family.

Keune put together an impressive career for the Knights, tallying 45 kills, 59 assists, and 477 digs in 311 total games. She also had an 86.4 serving percentage, including 75 aces. Keune was a member of the 2016 Union State Volleyball Championship team, and also earned a 2nd team all-conference volleyball selection during her senior campaign.

Coach Scott Weston had the following to say about his latest addition to the RedTail Volleyball program:

"Haylee is such a versatile player that adds a dimension to our defensive depth that we really needed. What I immediately noticed is she's aggressive on the floor regardless of what position she might be playing. She had 65 service aces her senior season so she's not afraid to take some chances. She's just one of those tenacious players who has the ability to make a positive impact."

The daughter of Tammy and Kenny Keune from La Porte City, IA, Haylee plans to enroll in the two-year transfer program with an emphasis in business at Hawkeye Community College in the fall.
