WATERLOO–Randy Dodge has been named head coach of the new intercollegiate bowling program at Hawkeye Community College.
Dodge is a silver-level certified coach with the U.S. Bowling Congress (USBC) and owner of Dodger Bowl in North Bend, Nebraska. As the North Bend High School bowling coach, he led his team to a record-setting five consecutive state titles, as well as back-to-back wins in the Nebraska Coaches Association Tournament Series.
Dodge is a member of the Nebraska USBC State Board and has served as the Nebraska youth director since 2013. He also organized the bowling program at Wayne State University in 2017, and is tour director for the Nebraska Youth Bowlers Tour.
"Bowling has always been a passion of mine, and I have been very fortunate to coach many great kids in Nebraska," Dodge said. "Having the opportunity to coach at Hawkeye and start the program from the ground up is amazing. It's so much fun setting up the program and recruiting student-athletes from all over the country."
The Hawkeye RedTail Bowling program begins competition in fall 2019.
