Pleasant Valley's LaBarge Makes History as First Ever RedTail Bowler

BETTENDORF – Cory LaBarge, of Pleasant Valley High School, is the latest addition to the RedTails family. He's also making a little history.

LaBarge became the first student-athlete to sign with Hawkeye Community College's bowling program, committing to join the program for its inaugural season in 2019-2020.

LaBarge comes with plenty of credentials. He's a two-time Junior Gold Qualifier, a two-time Second Team All-District honoree, and helped his high school team place fifth at the Iowa High School State Championships in 2017. In addition, LaBarge was an All-Metro and All-Mississippi Athletic Conference selection throughout his high school career. Off the alley, he was named to the MAC's All-Academic team.

In addition to bowling, LaBarge is involved in tennis and golf. He's the son of Stacy and Amy LaBarge and plans to enroll in the Business Transfer program at Hawkeye this fall.
