INDIANOLA - The Hawkeye Community College Track & Field teams made the trip to Simpson College for their final regular season competition of the year.
Headlining the performances on the men's side was High Jumper Zackary Conger. Taking flight for a jump of of 1.97 meters, Conger would take home the crown for the RedTails. Nick Durnin also impressed in the Men's Long Jump, as he would finish 8th after posting a best of 6.58 meters.
On the track, Riley Little continued his emergence as one of the RedTails best sprinters this spring. Little bolted to the line in a time of 15.19 seconds to claim a 3rd place finish in Men's 110 Meter Hurdles. Durnin would also take part in the 110 Meter Hurdles and finish 12th with a time of 15.79. In the Men's open 100, James McLean posted a time of 11.27 seconds to finish 15th overall.
Cross Country teammates David Thompson and Peter Torkleson also both had strong races in the 800 Meter Dash for the RedTails. The duo took home 7th and 13th, respectively, in the event.
The RedTails will be in action at Iowa Western Community College for the Region XI Outdoor Championships on May 4-5.
