RedTails Snag Successful Two-Way Runner

Brandon Conrad signed his letter of intent to join the cross country and track and field teams at Hawkeye Community College.

Conrad was a part of a lot of success while at Cedar Falls High School. In track, he made it to the state championships in the 4x400-meter relay as a junior and made it in the 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relays as a senior, with the 4x800 team finishing runner up. He also qualified for the Drake Relays three times; as a sophomore in the 4x800-meter relay, as a junior in the 4x400-meter and the 4x800-meter relays, as a senior in the 4x400-meter and 4x800-meter relays and the 1600-meter run. He was a part of the All-Metro team three times, while being selected to the first team in the Mississippi Valley Conference and becoming an All-State runner his senior season. Conrad found himself at the state championships three more times in cross country (2016, 2107, 2018).

"Brandon epitomizes everything we look for in a student-athlete," raves assistant coach Alan Shakespeare. "He has incredible range from the 400m in track, all the way up to being a cross country standout. We expect Brandon to make an immediate impact in his first year on and off the track. You can't ask for much more in a student or athlete at this level."

Conrad is the son of Geoffrey and Lisa Conrad. He plans to enroll in the Liberal Arts program.
