Alan Shakespeare Named Assistant Cross Country, Track and Field Coach

WATERLOO – Alan Shakespeare has joined Hawkeye Community College's coaching staff as assistant cross country and track and field coach.

Shakespeare is a former middle school and high school track coach for Dike-New Hartford Community Schools. He is also creator of the D4 National Track Club, an organization of college-age runners with a passion for the sport and competition.

He was most recently an assistant track and field coach for Cedar Falls High School, where he specialized in the 400 meters and assisted three of the top four 4x400 teams in the state.

"I'm excited to help do what I can to provide a positive environment for our student-athletes to thrive," Shakespeare said. "I'm looking forward to working with an amazing coaching staff and our tremendous student-athletes. There are big things to come!"
