RedTails Take 3rd at Iowa State Collegiate Trap Meet

ACKLEY - The Hawkeye Community College sports shooting team wrapped up its spring season at the Iowa State Collegiate Trap Tournament (SCTP) over the weekend.

As a team, the RedTails earned a 3rd place finish in the Trap division after hitting 923 total targets. Iowa Central would win after posting a mark of 963 targets. Hawkeye would also take home a 3rd place finish in eLeague Skeet. The RedTails mark of 477, finished behind only Southwestern (513) and Indian Hills (571).

Experienced sophomore Jordan Lentz lead the way for the RedTails as he connected on 192 of 200 targets. Lentz's performance was the 9th highest score across all competitors. Ross Wolken (187) and Jacob Kaisand (184) also had great days shooting for the RedTails as well.

On the women's side, Emily Klein and Courtney Prochaska lead the way, both tallying a score of 178 targets.
