Women's Soccer Falls to Parkland College, 4-0

WATERLOO- The Hawkeye Community College women's soccer team hosted Parkland College (IL) in a non-conference match-up, and suffered a hard fought home loss.  

The RedTails were unable to find the back of the net in the first half, and trailed the Cobras by 1 heading into the intermission. The second half proved to be a different story, as Parkland College was able to capitalize on scoring opportunities and break the game open. The Cobras would score three times in the second half, including two goals from Hannah Martinez, as they would go on to shutout the RedTails 4-0.

The RedTails tallied 8 shots throughout the match, as goalkeeper Alexis Trombley added 9 saves in the goal.

The Hawkeye Community College women's soccer team will clash with the Reivers of  Iowa Western Community College for their next match, Saturday, October 7, beginning at 2:00 PM.
