Caspers Named RedTail Volleyball Interim Head Coach

WATERLOO–Tyann Caspers has been named interim head coach for the RedTail Volleyball Program at Hawkeye Community College.

Caspers came to Hawkeye in 2018 as an assistant coach after completing a master's degree in educational leadership at Minnesota State University Moorehead. She has a bachelor's degree from Upper Iowa University, where she was an outside hitter on the Peacock volleyball team. She accumulated 267 kills, 46 assists, 87 digs, and 43 blocks during two years with the Peacocks, before completing her collegiate career on the MSUM Dragon Volleyball team.

She was a standout on the Bird Island-Olivia-Lake Lillian High School volleyball team, earning West Central Conference MVP and West Central Tribune All-Area Team selection her senior year after leading the team to the state tournament in 2011.

Throughout her collegiate career she was involved at the club level, coaching Midwest Elite Volleyball Camps and the Moorehead Juniors Club. After her NCAA Division II eligibility ended, she continued to work with the Dragon volleyball program, as well as the MSUM Recreation and Wellness department.
