Hawkeye RedTails Women’s Cross Country Ranked No. 24 in National Coaches’ Poll

WATERLOO–The Hawkeye RedTails Women's Cross Country team is ranked among the top 25 programs in the nation according to a new national coaches' poll conducted by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The RedTails earned a No. 24 ranking in the latest NJCAA Division I poll. This is the first season of competition for the RedTails, who recently completed their regular season with a third place finish at regionals, earning a ticket to the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships on November 11, 2017, in Fort Dodge.

The RedTail men also qualified for the national championship after a third-place regional finish. They received votes in the latest coaches' poll, but did not crack the top 25. The teams are lead by head coach Micah Ruroden, and associate head coach Tyler Mulder.
