Women's Cross Country Signs Madison Johnson of Osage

WATERLOO - Hawkeye Community College welcomes Madison Johnson to the RedTail women's cross country and track & field teams.

The Osage senior excelled in several different facets throughout her high school career. Johnson qualified for the Iowa High School State Cross Country meet in 2015 and 2016 finishing 97th (21:49.7) and 52nd (21:04.7) respectively. She also qualified for the Iowa High School State Track and Field meet in 2015, 2016, and 2017 as a critical member of the 4x800M relay team that finished with a time of 10:47.57 in 2017. Outside of cross country and track, Johnson was a member of the 2015-2016 Osage Green Devil basketball team that finished the year as a state qualifier with a 22-4 record. In addition to sports, Johnson is also involved in choir and the little sister/ big sister program at Osage High School.

Madison is the daughter of Russ and Amy Johnson of Osage, Iowa and plans to enroll in the Dental Hygienist Program at Hawkeye next fall.
