Athlete of the Week: Grace Eisenbarth

WATERLOO-RedTail Sports Shooting team freshman Grace Eisenbarth has been named RedTail Athlete of the Week for winning an individual state championship in sporting clays at the state competition on Saturday, April 10.

Eisenbarth showed her nerves of steel, as the freshman put her shooting skills on display throughout the weekend. Eisenbarth won the female sporting clays championship, hitting a total of 73 birds. She went on to get third in skeet, recording 91 birds.

"Grace is a joy to have on the team," said head coach Troy Emley. "[She] is a sports shooter who is doing well on the field, in the classroom, and in life."

Eisenbarth is originally from Otley, Iowa, and is currently in the nursing program while attending Hawkeye.
