RedTail Dance Team Performs at Friendship Village
On Monday, April 7, the Hawkeye Dance Team visited Friendship Village to showcase the routines they are set to perform at the national competition Thursday, April 10, when they perform their jazz routine, and Friday, April 11, when they perform their hip hop routine. Those in attendance were able to view both routines that the team has been working hard at in preparation for their journey down in Daytona, Florida.
"The Redtail Dance team got the opportunity to perform their state dances for residents of Friendship Village!" said Maesi Wahl, captain of the Hawkeye Dance Team.
"We have been working very hard, in preparation for taking the stage at nationals in just a short couple days! Members of the Hawkeye Dance Team got to showcase their Jazz and Hip Hop routines, and mingle with the residents afterwards! They loved to see all the tricks we had to show them, and even asked us to perform the dances twice! It was so rewarding and fun to hear all the questions and excitement that came from the crowd we had. We are excited to bring the energy this week In Daytona! Go RedTails!"
