RedTails Rise to Fourth in National TESPA Rankings
In game two of Saturday's double-header, the RedTails took on the University of Washington. Washington came out strong but the RedTails did not go down without a fight. Huge plays across the board pushed the series into overtime, but in the end, the Washington assault proved to be just too much, barely edging out the RedTails by mere meters. The loss saw the Hawkeye fall back to eighth place overall in the national standings.
On Sunday, the RedTails came out and took care of business against Purdue University and UNLV, winning both games by a final of 2-0.
"With playoffs right around the corner, we have to focus on clean play and critical thinking when the games are on the line. We need to get back on track and eliminate the mistakes we've had this weekend." head coach Billy Howard said after the weekend's games.
The Varsity Overwatch team will play in the first round of the playoffs on Saturday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m.
