RedTails Continue with a Great Season
DIKE–The men's golf team looked sharp opening up the month of October with outstanding scores in the Hawkeye Fall Classic.
The Orange Team placed fifth with 317 strokes. Tom Bell was tied sixth with only 74 strokes. Melker Andersson tied for 23rd place with 80 strokes. In 25th place, Grant Dekruyf had 81 strokes. Luke Galeazzi came in 26th place with 82 strokes.
The RedTails had two competing as individuals in the meet. Austin Reynolds was the champion of the meet with 69 strokes. Coming in fifth place was Brayden Fahrni with 73 strokes.
Coach Micah Destival said, "What a day for our second team at Fox Ridge. Austin knocked three strokes off his personal best to win a stacked field. Brayden Fahrni also knocked three strokes off his personal best to finish fifth with a one over par 73. Tom also played well and shot a two over 74 to continue his strong fall. It will be nice to have next week off from competition as we prepare for two big tournaments to end our fall season."
The RedTails will travel to Spencer, Iowa, on October 11, 2021, for their next competition.
