Male Athlete of the Week-Grant Dekruyf

RedTail golfer Grant Dekruyf has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Kirkwood Invite in Marion, Iowa on March 27.

Grant had a great round at Hunter's Ridge Golf Course. He shot a 74 which tied him for sixth overall. This helped place the RedTails golf team at third place overall for the second meet of the spring season.

"Grant worked extremely hard in the offseason and he has come out so far this spring and showed improvement in both his play and demeanor on the course," said coach Micah Destival. "We will look for continued improvement as the spring season goes on."

"I battled all day through the cold and stayed consistent with my game plan," says Grant. "I am looking forward to playing well throughout the rest of the spring season."

Dekruyf is originally from Urbandale, Iowa.
