RedTail Golf Shows Growth in Tough Conditions at Iowa Central Spring Invite
RedTail Men's and Women's Golf made the trip to Fort Dodge on April 10–11 for Iowa Central's Spring Invite, battling cold, windy conditions across both rounds while showing meaningful progress on each side of the program.
Men's Team Recap
The men turned in one of their strongest team performances of the year, highlighted by a standout second round from Danny Wiese, who fired a 74 and closed with a difficult up‑and‑down on the ninth to finish the day. Consistent scoring across the lineup helped the RedTails post a competitive two‑day total despite the challenging weather.

Coach Micah Destival commented on the men's performance, saying, "The men played pretty well in the elements this weekend and had one of our top scores of the year. Danny Weiss had a very nice 2nd round 74 where he closed with a very tough up and down on hole 9."
Women's Team Recap
The women showed significant improvement from Round 1 to Round 2, cutting 14 strokes off their team score even as conditions worsened. Multiple players posted steadier back‑nine totals, and the group continues trending upward as the spring season builds momentum.

Coach Destival finished out talking about the women's team, saying, "Our women continue to improve and knocked 14 strokes off in the second round in much worse conditions. Excited to play at home twice this week and see what we can do."

Both teams return home this week for back‑to‑back events, carrying confidence from their progress in Fort Dodge and aiming to build on the foundation they've set this spring.
