RedTail Men’s Soccer Team Wraps Up 2025 Spring Scrimmage Season

The RedTail men's soccer team finished their 2025 spring scrimmage season after hosting the UNI Club at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex on April 23, and traveling to Ottumwa to compete against the Indian Hills Warriors on Saturday, April 26.

The team tied with the UNI Club 1-1 before the game was called early due to lightning. The lone goal was scored by Marco Petrarca.

Saturday, the team fell to a tough Indian Hills team 0-3. 

"We displayed our game and had chances to score but unfortunately we did not capitalize on them," said head coach Jorge Sierra. "Two punctual mistakes we had led to two goals for Indian Hills. Positive takeaway is that we were able to play to the same level against one of the best teams in the nation. We will work hard during the summer to make sure we put this program back on track and compete for conference."
