Redtails Soccer Sets the Tone in 2025 Preseason
The Hawkeye Redtails opened the 2025 school year with a promising and impactful preseason. After weeks of intense two-a-day practices, the women's team carried their energy and determination into the home opener, earning a 3-1 win over St. Ambrose. Days later, they traveled to Waldorf University and dominated with a decisive 6-0 victory, showcasing their offensive firepower. The run came to an end in a hard-fought, physical battle with William Penn, where they came up just short in a 0-1 loss. Even so, the Redtails enter the regular season with confidence and momentum, ready to build on their early success and pursue the goals they've set for the year.
The men's team also faced a challenging preseason slate that tested their discipline and preparation. They opened on the road against a strong Grand View program, followed by another away matchup at Waldorf University. Just two days later, the Redtails wrapped up their preseason with a trip to Maharishi International University, pushing themselves through a demanding stretch of competition. The preseason provided valuable opportunities to develop team chemistry, fine-tune strategy, and gain experience against quality opponents. With a foundation of hard work from training camp and lessons learned from these matchups, the Redtails are prepared to carry their growth into the regular season.
