RedTail Men’s Throwers Travel to the Meet of Champions

ROCK ISLAND, ILL–Select student-athletes from the RedTail Men's Track and Field team competed on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, at the Augustana's Meet of Champions.

Highlights from the meet include freshman Aaron Campbell's strong decathlon performance was one of the meet's highlights. Campbell placed first in shotput (12.25 meters) and discus (39.85 meters), and fourth in the javelin throw (35.46 meters) to set a new RedTail decathlon record.

The men's team took home 23rd place. Head coach Scott Roberts commented on the performance saying, "Everyone of the throwers and multi-eventers competed well, under trying weather conditions."

The RedTails are back in action at the Drake Relays, as well as the Simpson meet on April 28. Good luck and go RedTails.
