HAWKEYE MEN’S TRACK & FIELD ADDS IOWA CITY THROWER IVAN SHINKUNAS

Hawkeye Community College is excited to announce the addition of Ivan Shinkunas, a talented thrower from City High School in Iowa City, to the Men's Track & Field program. Shinkunas will pursue General Education at HCC.

With four years of experience competing in discus, hammer, and shot put, Shinkunas has developed a strong foundation and a clear vision for his future in the sport. His commitment to continue throwing at the collegiate level marks a major milestone in his athletic journey.

"I am very excited for my commitment to Hawkeye Community College," Shinkunas said. "Throwing in college has been a goal of mine for a couple of years now, and to see it finally pay off makes all of the hard work worth it. I don't think there is a better place I could be continuing my throwing journey at. I can't wait for track season to start again and to begin my collegiate career."

Shinkunas brings drive, discipline, and potential to the RedTail throws squad as he looks ahead to his first collegiate season.
