Jacob Gibbs Signs with RedTail XC

DIKE-Jacob Gibbs recently signed his letter of intent to run cross country for the RedTails.

Gibbs attended Dike-New Hartford High School, where he ran cross country all four years. In 2021, Gibbs qualified for the state meet.

Head coach Tyler Mulder comments, "Jacob Gibbs is an all around good kid, we had fun meeting his family in the recruitment process. We really like the potential that he has for the middle distance and distance events on the track. Gibbs has a strong stride which shows he's got a lot of potential to help the cross country program. We've always enjoyed having Dike-New Hartford athletes a part of the program, as they're known for being hard workers!"

"I'm most excited to run at Hawkeye because of the atmosphere and people look amazing, and I'm eager to join!" said Gibbs.

Gibbs plans to major in Liberal Arts while here at Hawkeye Community College.
