Men’s Cross Country runs at Indian Hills Invitational

OTTUMWA-The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Cross Country team placed third at the Indian Hills Invitational. The team traveled to Ottumwa, Iowa on October 14, 2022 for the race. The event was the final 8000 meter race for the men this year.

D'Artagnon Beaver placed third individually with a personal best time of 26 minutes, 18.4 seconds. Brennan Sauser came in right behind him at fourth place finishing with a PR of 26:29.9. 23 Hunter Hughlette and Bryce Grissom also set personal bests with times of 28:24.9 29 45 and 30:40.6, respectively. Two runners made their debut for the RedTails, Luke Meike, 28:41.2, and Chase Mullenix, 29:18.5.

"Every week these guys put in hard work and with those progressions they continue to raise the bar. It was great to see the middle distance guys step up and break through their race to help the team with a top 3 finish," said coach Corinne Gadient. "We have remarkable athletes on this squad with potential to do big things at regionals in the upcoming week."
