Heltibridle Claims Trap-Single Female State Champion Title
The RedTail Sports Shooting team placed fourth overall and took home the women's individual championship with an impressive performance by Brianna Heltibridle.
"Our ladies were prepared to compete this weekend and it showed," says head coach Troy Emley.
The RedTails entered the competition with a win in the overall East division and an undefeated regular season. The team finished with a total score of 943 birds.
Women's individual champion Brianna Heltibridle took out 192 targets during the competition. Alexis Teribury landed a second place finish close behind with 191 targets. Nicole Popp took home sixth place for the RedTails with 184 targets.
On the men's side, Jake Maakestad finished 27th individually with 189 targets.
"This is a great group of athletes that have been fun to coach," says coach Emley. "We are proud the RedTails were able to add a fourth place team, state champion, second place finish, and sixth place honors."
