Male Athlete of the Week-Colton Crooks
RedTail Sports Shooting student-athlete Colton Crooks has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Triangular Competition against Southeastern Community College and Indian Hills Community College on September 23rd.
Colton was the dominant male athlete at this past weekend's triangular competition in Skeet and Sporting Clays. He accomplished this feat with his normal class and humility. He still represents Hawkeye RedTail Athletics well as is the reigning Male Athlete of the Year. Colton shot 97 targets in Skeet which set a new School Record. Colton was 1st Place Male against both the Indian Hills Warriors and the Southeastern Blackhawks. Colton shot 87 targets in Sporting Clays which placed him 2nd Place Male against Indian Hills and 1st Place Male against Southeastern. Colton went on to earn 25 Straight Patches in both Skeet and Sporting Clays.
"Colton Crooks is the best shooter on our team, and he proved it again this weekend," said head coach Troy Emley. "He led the team in Skeet and Sporting Clays. We can count on Colton week in and week out to be among our best."
Crooks is originally from Charles City, Iowa.
