Slabaugh Named ICCAC Co-Shooter of the Year
WATERLOO, Iowa — The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) announced its 2025 All-Region and Special Awards following the conclusion of the conference season, and Hawkeye Community College's Cole Slabaugh has been named Co-ICCAC Shooter of the Year, sharing the top honor with Iowa Western's Gavin Kuck.
Slabaugh turned in a dominant performance across all disciplines, hitting 848 of 900 targets in the conference's HOA scoring format. His Trap scores of 99, 99, and 98 were among the best in the region, and his 87 in Sporting Clays ranked third overall in the ICCAC.
At the ICCAC Championships, Slabaugh placed fourth in Skeet and continued to anchor the Hawkeye lineup in a season that featured standout showings from across the roster. This also marks Slabaugh's second straight First Team All-Region selection in High Over All.
With his Co-Shooter of the Year award, Hawkeye has now produced three consecutive ICCAC Men's Shooters of the Year, underscoring the program's consistency and competitive dominance under Head Coach Troy Emley.
The RedTails' success went beyond Slabaugh, as eight Hawkeye student-athletes earned All-Region honors across multiple disciplines.
