Cole Slabaugh concludes his standout career at Hawkeye as one of the most decorated and consistent competitors in program history. Slabaugh was named the ICCAC Co-Shooter of the Year following a dominant season where he hit a remarkable 848 of 900 targets. His campaign was highlighted by the ultimate mark of precision, shooting a perfect 100 straight in Trap, and being recognized as a three-time SCHEELS Athlete of the Week.
On the national stage, Slabaugh secured a third-place podium finish in Sporting Clays at the Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio. His leadership extends well beyond the range; Cole is a Student Ambassador, a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and holds a 3.79 GPA in Police Science. As a veteran leader, he helped guide the RedTails to undefeated East Division titles in both Trap and Skeet, leaving a lasting legacy of excellence at Hawkeye.
