Lily McCarty | SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week

Lily McCarty has been named this week's SCHEELS Female athlete of the week following her impressive performance against Central Community College and Northeast Community College this past week.

McCarty held her own last week, going 4-0 on the mound. She earned two wins against Central Community College and two wins against Northeast Community College. In the 9-4 win against Central, Lily gave up just six hits, four earned runs, and a career high of 11 strikeouts.

"Lily has done really well on the mound for us this year and is starting to find her groove," said head coach Courtney Calkins. "Her hard work is paying off and it's great to see her find success and help the team get some important wins." 

McCarty's success has been proven to be valuable for the team this season. Lily and the team hope to use that success as they play Iowa Central and North Iowa Area this week.
