Athlete of the Week: Hannah Axline

WATERLOO-RedTail freshman bowler Hannah Axline has been named the RedTail Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Mount Mercy Bowling Tournament on Saturday, March 27.

With a high game of a 256, Axline earned a sixth-place finish individually, while also helping the  RedTail team to a fifth-place overall finish. Axline averaged a 203.6, and finished just shy of the all-tournament team. Axline's effort contributed to her winning the ICCAC Athlete of Week as well.

"[Hannah] was adamant on making the All-Tournament Team. There was a fire I had never seen from her and she was all business," said head coach Heath Kohl. "This is a fire we have been waiting for all season long, and finally came out. She managed to bowl her best performance and fire the team up all weekend long."

Axline is originally from Manchester, Iowa, and is currently studying in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program while attending Hawkeye.
