Female Athlete of the Week-Chase Doland

RedTail golfer Chase Doland has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performances in her first tournaments of the season.

Chase placed third at the Iowa Central tournament on August 29 and followed up with a fourth-place finish at Clark University's tournament on September 1. Since then, Chase took home another solo third-place finish shooting a 79 with being even par on the front nine.

"Chase has played awesome in her first few weeks as a RedTail golfer," said head coach Micah Destival. "She has been playing some very difficult courses along with very good competition so her top three and four finished are great scores."

"I'm really pleased with how I did at my last meet at Mason Country country club," said Chase. "I didn't play my best on the back side, but I kept a positive attitude and turned it around on the front side to bring in a low score and a great finish."

Doland is originally from Waterloo.
