RedTail Women’s Golf Competes at Graceland Invite
MARYVILLE, MO.–The Women's RedTail Golf team has solidified their first scores in program history this weekend at the Graceland Spring Invitational. With chilly spring weather conditions and no collegiate experience in program history, the women performed well.
Top contenders from the team had top 20 finishes, with Chase Doland scoring twelfth with 179 strokes overall, and seventeenth place finisher Olicia Hammel, shooting a 184 on the weekend.
"It was fun to have our first team score in our program's history and then take 18 strokes off that in the second round." Head coach Micah Destival said, "The ladies did a great job over two days in some not ideal conditions. Chase and Olivia were right there with some good competition from four-year schools. We are looking forward to some practice time the next couple weeks to improve a few things and get back at it to try and lower that team record."
We're excited to see the rest of the season for the RedTails, and are cheering them on to lower that score as well, coach!
