RedTail Women Show Progress at Iowa Central Fall Kickoff
The Hawkeye RedTails Women's Golf Team opened their fall season on Monday, September 8, at the Iowa Central Fall Kickoff hosted at Fort Dodge Country Club. Facing windy conditions and challenging greens, the RedTails remained composed and showed continued improvement in early-season competition.
"Tough greens for the women today in some windy conditions," said Head Coach Micah Destival. "Thought they all did nice things throughout the round and we are seeing improvement from them."
The RedTails posted a team total of 5819 over the par‑72 course. Sophomore Eve Brumbaugh led the way with a 94 (+22), highlighted by a more controlled back nine, where she carded a 43 with improved putting and consistent approach play.

While the course presented a stiff challenge, the RedTail women remained focused and positive, executing solid shots and showing better control throughout the round compared to earlier outings.
