Female Athletes of the Week- 4x100 Relay

RedTail Track & Field student-athletes Mattie Janssen, Jordan Gallentine, Hailey Eitzenhefer, and Maddi Vawter have been named Scheels Female Athletes of the Week for their performance at the Mt Mercy Mustang Open on April 1.

Janssen, Gallentine, Eitenhefer, and Vawter were a part of the 4x100m Relay, placing second in the event with a time of 51.82.

"Our women's 4x100m relay placed in the top two in a tough field that included schools from our region as well as NCAA Division III teams," said head coach Scott Roberts. "For their first race of the year, they ran well and had good exchanges.  We expect our 4x100m relay to continue to improve in the coming weeks."

Janssen is originally from Shell Rock, IA, Gallentine is originally from Morrison, IL, Eitzenhefer is originally from Fairbank, IA, and Vawter is originally from Hazleton, IA.
