Female Athlete of the Week- Jordan Gallentine

RedTail Track & Field student-athlete Jordan Gallentine has been named Scheels Female Athletes of the Week for their performance at the Good Friday Open on April 7.

Gallentine had an impressive performance at the Good Friday Open breaking the school record in her first place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 59.62. This mark also breaks the previous school record. Gallentine followed this impressive performance into another first place finish in the 200m dash with a time of 26.48. This mark moves her to number four in Hawkeye's All-Time list. Gallentine finished the meet throwing everything else down on the track for the 4x4 later that evening.

"It has been a treat to work with Jordan this season," said coach Hunter Lavallee. "She has been on fire this outdoor season! She has been maturing as a racer more and more every week and it's showing. Gallentine breaks the school record into a heavy head wind and it makes you excited to see what she will do with ideal conditions! Jordan is looking to hit her last season as a RedTail hard and leave some marks that will be hard to beat!"
