RedTail Women’s Track and Field Team Makes Strides at Augustana Meet of Champions
ROCK ISLAND, IL. — The RedTail women's track and field team traveled to Illinois to compete at the Augustana Meet of Champions on April 18-19. The results for each event are below:
Women's Long Jump
14th: Alyssa Wondercheck - 5.02m

4th: Halima Biggs - 1.54m
10th: Tasha Williams - 1.49m
Women's Shot Put
6th: Kailan McEwen - 12.77m
49th: Breanna Swaby - 8.61m
55th: Olivia Hammel - 7.23m
Women's Discus
20th: Breanna Swaby - 36.54m
Women's Javelin
27th: Kailan McEwen - 22.49m
Women's 400m Hurdles
6th: Melody Kremer - 1:08.25
Women's 200 Meters
59th: Tasha Williams - 28.34
Women's 800 Meters
12th: Mallori Jones - 2:24.76
Women's 100 Meters
32nd: Tasha Williams - 12.94
43rd: Melody Kremer - 13.12
After the day was concluded, head coach Scott Roberts said, "We had another good meet at Augustana this past weekend! We had a number of personal bests including Breanna Swaby in the hammer and Kailan McEwen in her throws. The team is starting to round into shape at the right time for the regional meet in a few weeks."
The RedTail track and field athletes will return to the track this week when they compete at both the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open from Thursday, April 24-Saturday, April 26.
