HAWKEYE WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD WELCOMES WATERLOO SPRINTER MAHAILA STOKES

Hawkeye Community College is proud to welcome Mahaila Stokes, a short-distance sprinter from Waterloo East High School, to the Women's Track & Field program. Stokes will study Marketing at HCC.

Even with just one year of track experience, Stokes has shown a strong competitive drive and a commitment to personal growth. Joining Hawkeye marks a new chapter—one she's ready to embrace with purpose and excitement.

"I am excited to start something new and push myself to become the person I've always dreamed of being," Stokes said. "I want to make my younger self proud and show her that the sky isn't the limit—you have the whole universe to discover, and you can achieve anything."

Stokes' determination and mindset make her an exciting addition to the RedTail roster as she begins her collegiate journey.
