RedTail Volleyball Continues Spring Growth in Road Trip to Fort Dodge
The RedTail Volleyball team hit the road on March 31, 2026, traveling to Fort Dodge for a pair of spring scrimmages against Iowa Central Community College and Faith Baptist. The trip offered another valuable checkpoint in Hawkeye's spring development as the group continues to build rhythm and consistency.
Iowa Central Match
Hawkeye opened the day with a competitive battle against Iowa Central, ultimately falling 2–1. The RedTails pushed the Tritons throughout the match, showing improved ball control and defensive organization.
Rematch with Faith Baptist
The RedTails then faced Faith Baptist for the second time in less than a week, following their earlier matchup on March 26. The repeat meeting gave Hawkeye another opportunity to test adjustments and evaluate growth against a familiar opponent.
Coach Chris Mahi emphasized how valuable the spring slate has been for the team and the progress they continue to show.
"We had the opportunity to play Iowa Central and Faith Baptist again," Mahi said. "We continue to see growth and improvement in our players, which is exciting as we move through the spring scrimmage schedule."
"We are looking forward to being at home this week as we host our home scrimmage on Tuesday, April 7. We host a great field of teams in Wartburg, UNI, Iowa Central, DMACC, and NIACC."
