The RedTail Women's Cross Country team took second place at the Indian Hills Invite on Friday, October 16. The top seven women either set a personal best or a season best time.
Ryann Portch led the team with a personal best time of 18:58.0. Crossing the finish line next was Kylee Leicht with a season best time of 19:55.0. The next five women were Hannah Payne (20:27.8, 15th), Sophie Spargur (20:36.0, 17th), Elizabeth Barfells (20:47.9, 18th), Mindi Sande (20:49.5, 19th) and Rachel Wardel (20:49.6, 20th). "I'm very proud of each individual on this team, literally each girl deserves a special shoutout," said head coach Tyler Mulder. "If we can carry this momentum into our last three meets, they will be a scary competitive team to beat come regional and national championship season."
The RedTail women will be back in action for the Mustang Jamboree on Saturday, October 24.
