Women’s Cross Country Crowned Region XI Champions

WATERLOO–The RedTails ran their way to first place in the Division II Region XI championship on October 29. 

Emma Hoins finished second in Division II with a season best time of 18:46.4. In fourth place was Chloe Matthews with a season best time of 20:51.9. With a personal best time of 21:15.8 was Aubery Eick in sixth place. In 10th place was Aviella Holtz with a time of 22:05.8. Jordan Gallentine finished 15th in her first 5k of the season with a time of 23.32.3. 

"Overall I'm super proud of each of these ladies, everyone stepped it up with either a season best time or passing some of our opponents to the finish, along with fighting adversity of injuries and illness to come out with a conference title," says coach Tyler Mulder. "Big thanks to some of our long sprinters, Jordan Gallentine & Maci Freund, for helping the team be able to achieve team scores."

Next up for the RedTails is the 2021 NJCAA Cross Country Nationals in Richmond, Virginia, on November 13.
